Cooks Mills, IL-Michael 'Mike' Scott Williams, age 54, of Cooks Mills, Illinois, passed away at 10:23 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. \r\n\r\nThe funeral service in his honor will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938, with Craig Koester officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cooks Mills. Military rites conducted by Mattoon VFW post 4325. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nThe son of Richard Bruce and Carolyn Sue (Storm) Williams, Michael was born August 28, 1958, in Effingham, Illinois. He married Debbie K. Harrelson on November 6, 1999. She survives. Other survivors include his father, Richard Williams and wife Betty of Munday, Texas; his mother Carolyn Williams of Mattoon, IL; three children, Cory Michael Williams of Robinson, IL, Amanda Williams of Mattoon, IL, and Jennifer Williams of Windsor, IL; one brother, Roger Williams of Colville, WA; three grandchildren, Bruce Scott Williams of Robinson, IL, Sydney Michelle Chiasson of Windsor, IL, and Shawn Joseph Chiasson of Windsor, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Barb Harrelson of Cooks Mills, IL; two brother-in-laws, David Harrelson and wife Carol of Windsor, IL, and Danny Harrelson and wife Colleen of Mattoon, IL; two sister-in-laws, Donna Harrelson of Cooks Mills, IL, and Diane Morgan and friend Gene Watts of Cooks Mills, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruce and Juanita Williams and LaVerne and Evelyn Storm; and one granddaughter, Paige Williams.\r\n\r\nMike earned his living as an electrician and was employed by Professional Labor Support.
