Loretta “Lori” Marie Robertson, age 69 of Mattoon, IL passed away at 8:29 AM, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her residence. A funeral service in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. Reverend Andrew Hensley will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cooks Mills, IL. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to the time of service at the funeral home. Loretta was born on November 10,1953, in Mattoon, IL to the late Edward L. and Myrtle J. (Ward) Morgan. She married Allen L. Robertson Jr. on April 24, 1970, in Mattoon, IL; he survives and resides in Mattoon, IL. She is also survived by four children: Scotty E. Robertson of Mattoon, IL, Chris A. Robertson and wife Darla of Charleston, IL, Dawn M. Robertson and husband Frank of Mattoon, IL, Tanya L. Robertson of Mattoon, IL; nine grandchildren: Brooke N. Robertson, Tessa L. Robertson, Tyler Terrell, Sierra Robertson, Tiela M. Roberson, Shyla L. Thomas-Williams, Joseph A. Rader, Jacob A. Rader, Sierra R. Hudson; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon S. Rinehart of Mattoon, IL, and Pamela D. Shore of Marysville, CA; and her beloved fur babies. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one grandchild. Lori was the owner and operator of Lori’s Family Home Care in Mattoon, IL. Gifted with a heart full of compassion for people and especially those in need, Lori devoted her career to taking care of others. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Mattoon, IL and a former member of the VFW of Mattoon, IL. She loved cooking, sewing, and vegetable and flower gardening. However, family was her highest priority, whether it be gatherings, country driving, camping, amusement parks, shopping, or vacationing she enjoyed every moment with her loved ones.
