Daniel Loera

Daniel Loera, age 62, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. Funeral services will be held in El Paso, Texas. A Celebration of Life to honor and remember Daniel will be held near Casey, IL at a later date. Details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized. Born on February 27, 1964, Daniel was the beloved husband of Donna Loera; father of Danielle Loera, Heather Melton, and Brad Pitts; grandfather of Scott Melton; and son of Luis and Rosie Loera. Throughout his life, he was known for his generosity, dedication, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was the kind of man who would drop everything to support his family, friends, or even a stranger. He is survived by his siblings David Loera, Sandra Loera, and Dina Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father Luis Loera. Daniel worked as Vice President, Specialist-info Security Engineer and took great pride in providing for his family, taking people out to eat, and giving his very best in everything he did. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, getting new recipes from Tik Tok, spending time with those he loved, taking on new challenges, and staying active. In June 2025, he completed his first Spartan Super race alongside his daughter on one of the toughest courses in Cincinnati. Even after crossing the finish line, he was already looking forward to signing up for the next race. Above all, he cherished every moment spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to hospice and hospital staff, family members, and friends for their exceptional compassion, care, and support throughout Daniel's courageous battle with cancer. Your kindness and support brought comfort during one of life's most difficult seasons, and we will always be grateful. Daniel will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the generosity that defined his life and the strength he demonstrated through every challenge. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing he is healed, at rest, and in the presence of the Lord. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched, and he will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
