Mattoon, IL-Nancy J. Rendleman, age 83, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 4:45 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at her residence. \r\n\r\nThe funeral service in her honor will begin at 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938, with Reverend Scott Simms officiating. Burial will take place in Dodge Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins. \r\n\r\nBorn March 24, 1932, in Mattoon, IL, Nancy was the daughter of Horace V. and Blanche A. (Virkler) Ralston. She married Bradley Kincaid Campell on September 27, 1951. She later married Ralph L. Carter on August 12, 1972, in Neoga, IL. He passed away on December 21, 1996. She then married Jim A. Rendleman on September 14, 1997 in Neoga, IL. He passed away on March 10, 2001. Survivors include two children, Deborah Holderfield and husband Alan of Indianapolis, IN, and Rebecca Bullock of Sullivan, IL; three step-children, Wayne Carter and wife Sue of East Alton, IL, Brenda Turner of Mattoon, IL, and Joyce Prince and husband Chuck of Chatham, IL; three sisters, Norma Lee Strouse of Charleston, IL, Sarah Benham and husband Jack of Montrose, CO, and Carol Davis and husband Frank of Terre Haute, IN; five grandchildren, Stacy St. John and husband Dan of Mattoon, IL, Darcy Williams of Mattoon, IL, Brittany McGrath and husband Mark of Charleston, IL, Lindsey Hite and husband Aaron of Charleston, IL, and Crystal Pearcy and husband David of Charleston, IL, five step grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bradley 'BK' Campbell; one brother, Jim Ralston; and one great grandson, Dalton St. John.\r\n\r\nMrs. Rendleman was previously employed by General Electric. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Mattoon, and former member of the Eagles Lodge of Mattoon. Her hobbies included quilting, fishing. She was also known for her cooking; her specialties included noodles cooked to perfection and red velvet cake.
