    Mattoon, IL- Jason C. Alexander, age 35 of Mattoon passed away suddenly at 9:20 A.M., on November 9, 2007 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.\r\n\r\nFuneral Services celebrating his life will begin at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday November 13, 2007 at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home in Mattoon, IL with Reverend Bob Golsby officiating. Interment will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Ave., Mattoon, IL. 61938.\r\n\r\nJason was born August 24, 1972 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Danny and Logreeta (Myers) Alexander. He married Dana Dooley October 21, 2005 in Benton, IL.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his loving wife Dana Alexander of Mattoon, IL; four children, Jordan Cox, Ethan Cox, Chace Dooley, Zoe Dooley all at home; his parents, Danny Alexander of Springfield, IL. and Logreeta Myers of Carbondale,IL. formerly of Mattoon, IL; two brothers, Jefferson James Derrickson and Dylan Myers McDowell both of Mattoon, IL; two half sisters Courtney Alexander and Nicole Alexander; step sister, Sarah Nicole Allen of Mattoon, IL; grandparents, Bill Cox of Mattoon, IL and Don and Betty Myers of Benton, IL; mother-in-law, Charlotte Cox of Mattoon, IL; father-in-law, Tim Cox of Bossier City, Louisiana; two aunts, Mary Beth Carastro and husband Paul of Tampa, FL and Donna Orley of Benton, IL; four nieces, Jessica and Leah Orley of Benton, IL and Ashley and Mia Carastro of Tampa, FL; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cecil 'Pete' Alexander and Minnie Alexander.\r\n\r\nJason was an employee of Anamet in Mattoon IL. He attended the Calvary Temple Church in Arcola, IL. Jason had a passion for fishing and was always ready to spend a day on the lake with children and his dogs. He enjoyed football and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed gardening and refinishing antique furniture. For Jason, he will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson and son-in-law who had a big heart and was always available for others. He will be truly missed by his family and many friends.
