Mattoon, IL -Georgia G. Patterson, age 82, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 5:35 am, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at her residence.\r\n\r\nThe graveside service in her honor will begin at 1:30 pm, Monday, June 29, 2009, at Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon, IL, with Reverend Robert Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 pm, Monday, prior to the service at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938. \r\n\r\nMrs. Patterson was born December 21, 1926 in Wayne County, IL, the daughter of Charles L. and Cora M. (Anderson) Harper. She is survived by her children, Robert Patterson of Florida, Steve Patterson and wife Debbie of Mattoon, IL, and Jane Washburn and husband Bill, Sr. of Texas; two sisters, Ellen Campbell of Mattoon, IL and Roseanne Shaw and husband Jim of Urbana, IL; and five grandchildren, Jennifer Miller of Mattoon, IL, Cory Patterson of Mattoon, IL, Kristy Cervantes of St. Joseph, IL, Bill Washburn, Jr., of Vicenza, Italy, and Melissa Carnes of Arp, Texas; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.\r\n\r\nMrs. Patterson had worked for Associated Springs for nearly 30 years and then later retired from Rural King.
