    Mattoon, IL - Anna Mae Copeland, age 93, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013, at Gowin Parc. \r\n\r\nThe funeral service in her honor will begin at 12:00 p.m.,Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938, with Reverend Stephanie Johanpeter officiating. Interment will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m., until the service begins. \r\n\r\nBorn in Mattoon, IL, on March 30, 1920, Anna Mae was the daughter of Charles Clinton and Nina (Fleshner) Ashworth. She married Richard 'Dick' T. Copeland on June 9, 1950 in Mattoon, IL. He passed away on February 1, 1996. Survivors include one son, Rick Copeland and wife Pam of Mattoon, IL; a daughter 'in-law, Glenda Wiegel of Zachary, LA; two step-daughters, Barbara Martino and husband Toni of Toledo, OH, and Bernice Dennis of Mattoon, IL; seven grandchildren, Katie Copeland of Cooks Mills, IL, Kendra Warren and husband Joe of Humboldt, IL, Kaylee Fontenot and husband Cal of Brusly, LA, Steve Dennis of Houston, TX, Mike Martino and wife Meanette of South Carolina, Gina Martino of Toledo, OH, and Anita Martino of Toledo, OH; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Warren and Ashton Warren of Humboldt, IL; Mary Kathryn Fontenot of Brusly, LA; Damian Martino and Austin Martino. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary Wiegel; four brothers; and five sisters. \r\nMrs. Copeland was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Cooks Mills, IL. Other memberships included the Home Extension Zion Chapter; Rainbow Riding Club, of which she was a founding member; and Mattoon Camper's Club. She was also very involved with the family farm and enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends.\r\n\r\nMemorials in her honor may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, or Coles County 4-H.\r\n\r\nPlease visit www.mitchell-jerdan.com or www.facebook.com/mitchelljerdanfuneralhome to light a virtual candle in her honor or share a memory with her family.
