Stephen "Steve" Anthony Little

Stephen “Steve” Anthony Little, age 74 of Martinsville, IL passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938 is in charge of services. Steve was born on May 30, 1951, in Mattoon, IL to the late Orville Murray and Neva Irene (Wright) Little. He is survived by two children, April D. Donnell of Cooks Mills, IL, Anthony D. Little of Mattoon, IL: three brothers, Donald M. Little and wife Diane of Fountain Hills, AZ, Jerry D. Little of Mattoon, IL, Jack L. Little and wife Jan of Mattoon, IL; eight grandchildren: Creed Janes and wife Lauren of Mattoon, IL, Ali Dole and husband Andrew of Mattoon, IL, Rase Janes of Mattoon, IL, Gabriel, Lincoln, and Abigail Donnell of Cooks Mills, IL, Caden Little of Mattoon, IL and Trinity Little of Mattoon, IL; four great-grandchildren: Lennon and Graham Dole of Mattoon, IL, Aria Janes of Mattoon, IL, Selena Little of Mattoon, IL and his ex-wife and friend, Tana Mae Easter (Bartels). Steve was a member of the Bradbury Free Methodist Church in Toledo, IL. A painter by trade, Steve’s meticulous nature and talent transformed automobiles and motorcycles from mundane to magnificent. His craftmanship was evidenced by his attention to detail and his desire for excellence. Steve’s attention to detail was also displayed in his beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. His well-kept hair was also a sense of pride and his signature trait. He was a spiritual soul who spoke through music. His open heart was demonstrated in his love for dogs, often bringing home strays to add as furry family members. He also had a passion for riding motorcycles. A faithful follower of God and a devoted student of the Bible, Steve lived his life with a steadfast trust in God’s promises. He was a man who sought wisdom through Scripture and lived out his faith through kindness, humility, and service to others.
