A LINK TO THE VIDEO WILL APPEAR UNDER THE PHOTO WHEN AVAILABLE.\r\n\r\nMattoon, IL - Madison Raeleigh Ward, age 4, of Mattoon, IL, left this life with angel's wings at 9:48 a.m., Sunday, May 8, 2011, at home in the arms of her grandmother and surrounded by her loving family.\r\nThe funeral service in her honor will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938. Reverend Travis Spencer will officiate. Interment will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will also be at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. \r\nBorn at 9:48 a.m., December 27, 2006, in Urbana, IL, Madison was one of twin daughters born to Christopher S. and Ashley N. (Hughes) Ward. She is survived by her mother, Ashley Ward and special friend Chris Dolak of Mattoon, IL ; and her father, Christopher Ward of Charleston, IL; her twin sister, Jordan Ward of Mattoon, IL; maternal grandparents, Janet and Harry Goff of Mattoon, IL, and Rodger Hughes of Bridgeport, IL; paternal grandparents, Rick and Judy Ward of Charleston, IL; maternal great-grandparents, Ruth Ann Allison of Robinson, IL, and Gene and Imogene Hughes of Bridgeport, IL; paternal great grandmother, Virginia Richelderfer of Charleston, IL; maternal great-great grandfather, Harry Smith of Olney, IL; and six aunts and uncles, Amy Hughes of Mattoon, IL, Andy Albin and wife Natalie of Mattoon, IL, Derek Hughes and wife Laura of Bridgeport, IL, Sonya Shaver and husband Ron of Houston, TX, Amanda Ward of Charleston, IL, and Carrie Ward of Mattoon, IL. Madison was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Jerry Allison, and paternal great grandfather John Richelderfer; maternal great-great grandmother Ethel Smith, and paternal great-great grandparents Leonard and Evelyn Ward. \r\nHaving both entered and left this earth at 9:48 a.m., Madison was a tiny miracle that began at only 14 ounces. She was known for a contagious smile that could warm even a stranger's heart. She was a little cuddle bug who loved music and watching Mickey Mouse with her sister.
