Mattoon, IL - Louise Alma Rohlf, age 97, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.\r\n\r\nServices celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 7, 2013, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL. Pastor Dennis Strawn will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00 noon, also at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home.\r\n\r\nBorn on December 19, 1915, in Stewardson, IL, Louise was the daughter of William and Velpo (Elliott) Quast. She married Merton J. Rohlf on January 26, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1993.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Lila Branson and husband Keith, of Mattoon, IL; one brother, George Quast and wife Betty Ann, of Plainfield, IL; one sister, Dorothy Camic of Windsor, IL; three grandchildren: Rick Branson and wife Debbie of Macomb, IL; Chris Lawrence and husband Jim of Mattoon, IL; Carla Jackson and husband Mark of Mattoon, IL; six great grandchildren: Krista Branson, Kasey Lawrence, Clint Lawrence, Tyson Sledge, Tate Jackson, and Avery Jackson; three step-great grandchildren: Lisa Drury, Derek Runnels, and Misty Janssen; and one great-great grandchild, Gavin Lawrence. \r\n\r\nLouise was preceded in death by her parents, William and Velpo Quast; her husband, Merton Rohlf; four brothers; and one sister.\r\n\r\nMrs. Rohlf was a member of First Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL. She was a member of Regents College. Her many memberships included: the Women of the Moose in Mattoon, IL, since 1957; the Mattoon VFW Post #4325 since 1968; the Rebekah Lodge #63 of Mattoon, IL, since 1976, where she proudly served as Past Noble Grand and Past District President; and the Rebekah Lodge in Ocala, FL. For 20 years, Louise belonged to the Bowler Club of Mattoon. She was a former member of the White Shrine, Social Order of Beauceant, and Amaranth Unity #34, all in Ocala, FL. \r\n\r\nMemorials in her honor may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1804 S.
