Morgantown, KY - Donald Ray Secrest, age 60, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. \r\n \r\nThe funeral service in his honor will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938 with Brother Jimmy McIntosh officiating. Interment will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m., until the service begins.\r\n \r\nBorn November 27, 1953, in Sullivan, IN, Donald was the son of Raymond and Shirley (Dunder) Secrest. He married Terri Epperson on June 22, 1974, in Mattoon, IL. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include his loving wife of forty years, Terri Secrest of Morgantown, KY; his parents, Raymond and Shirley Secrest of Mattoon, IL; two daughters, Carrie Nicholas and husband Damon of Cary, NC, and Natalie Mazliach and husband Daniel of Lyons, IL; one son, Matthew Secrest and wife Caitlin of Chandler, AZ; two granddaughters, Grace and Kalie; three grandsons, Zachary, Andrew and Aidan; three brothers James Secrest and wife Eneatha of Mattoon, IL, Robert 'Allan' Secrest of West Allis, WI, and Brian Secrest and wife Dawn of Yucaipa, CA; one sister, Susan Bergfeld and husband Steve of Mattoon, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Lucas Hartman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hobert and Mertie Epperson; and his grandparents.\r\n\r\nDonald was a member of Carve Rock Independent Baptist Church in Morgantown, KY, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and assistant song leader. He was employed as chief dispatcher for the Canadian National Railroad. \r\n\r\nThe following services will be conducted by Jones Funeral Home in Morgantown, KY: The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Carve Rock Independent Baptist Church.
