Bobby H. Logue Sr.

Bobby H. Logue Sr., age 92 of Mattoon, IL passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL. A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938 is in charge of arrangements. Bobby was born on November 12, 1932, in Altamont, IL to the late Orville Elroy and Velma Emma (Dammerman) Logue. He married Dorothy “Dottie” Ann Quenzer on March 28, 1953, in Sturgis, South Dakota; she preceded him in death on December 13, 2009. He later married Theresa Zimmerman in New Richmond, WI in 2014: she preceded him in death on August 14, 2023. He is survived by three children: Connie S. Cushman of Mattoon, IL, David A. Logue and wife Georgie of Chino, CA, Jeffrey J. Logue of Ingleside, TX; one brother, John Timmons and wife Jane of Mattoon, IL; five grandchildren: Adam Cushman and wife Sarah of Elmhurst, IL, Bobbi Ballinger and husband Joe of Mattoon, IL, Kyla Cushman and wife Tina of Mansfield, IL, Kenneth Cushman of Mattoon, IL, Summer Browning and husband Jessie of Ingleside, TX; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby H. Logue Jr., and one sister, Sandra Logue. Mr. Logue was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. From 1951-1955 he served in Rapid City, South Dakota, Albuquerque, NM, and Shreveport, LA. Bobby was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mattoon, IL. After many years of dedication, he retired from Associated Spring Company in Mattoon, IL. He was a former member of the Mattoon Moose Lodge and the American Legion in Mattoon, IL. Always a joy to be around, Bobby kept life fun and entertaining. Boating, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and everyday living was full of adventure with his fun-loving personality. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his late wives. Although life will not be the same without this loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, the memories made will be forever cherished.
