Beulah Ellen Storm\r\nMattoon-Beulah Ellen Storm, age 92, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. \r\nThe funeral service in her honor will begin at 1:30 pm, Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, 1601 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938. Reverend James Whitaker and Reverend Eugene Black will officiate. Interment will be in Mullen Cemetery, rural Montrose. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 5:00-8:00pm at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. \r\nMrs. Storm was born January 24, 1917, in Woodbury, IL, the daughter of Guy and Clara (Ashby) Plummer. She married Harold Raymond Storm in Mattoon, IL on December 23, 1939. He passed away on November 23, 1971. Survivors include her children, DeLila J. Wassink and husband Merrell L. of Grand Rapids, MI, Linda K. Wolter and husband Merle J. of Joliet, IL, Cedric L. Storm of Mattoon, IL, and Elizabeth A. Edwards and husband Gary L. of Mattoon, IL; two brothers, Charles Plummer of Oakland, IL, and Roy Plummer and wife Ina of Woodbury, IL; three sisters, Loraine Keller of Greenup, IL, Mary Wisner of Greenup, IL, and Lucille Whitaker and husband Wayne of Neoga, IL; and eight grandchildren, Ellen Borgia and husband Tom of Grand Rapids, MI, Mike Wassink of Grand Rapids, MI, Eric Wolter of Kansas City, KS, Deanne Mesquita and husband Will of Joliet, IL, Kara Curran and husband Phil of Joliet, IL, Shane Storm of Tempe, Arizona, Justin Storm and wife Mandy of Effingham, IL, Wyatt Edwards of Mattoon, IL, and Destinee Edwards of Mattoon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stephen Ray Storm; a brother, Reverend Kenneth Plummer, and a sister, Dortha McClellan. \r\nMrs. Storm was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mattoon, IL. Other memberships included the Moose and Eagles Lodges of Mattoon, IL. At one time she had been employed by Community Unit School District # 2 as a cook. She was also a former employee of Brady's Laundromat and more recently was a caregiver for her grandson. \r\nMrs. Storm had many hobbies including the art of quilting, spending time outdoors gardening, playing Bingo with friends, and traveling to Hawaii and Florida.
