Linda D. Standerfer

Linda D. Standerfer, age 71 of Mattoon, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:55 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at her residence in Mattoon, IL surrounded by her loving family. In keeping with Linda’s wishes there will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration of life for friends and family at Providence Church, 708 S. 9th St. Mattoon, IL from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Linda was born on December 15, 1950, to the late William Howard Sr. and Treva Lorene (Jones) Cobb. She is survived by two daughters, Heather L. Warf and husband Darin of Mattoon, IL, Hilary L. Smith and husband Mark of Mattoon, IL; two brothers, Sam Cobb and wife Lynn of Charleston, IL and William, H. Cobb Jr, and wife Sheila of Humboldt, IL; two sisters, Karen Pugh and husband David of Arcola, IL, Shirley Beck and husband Ralph of Mattoon, IL; sister in law, Joan Cobb of Humboldt, IL; six grandchildren: Taylor Huffman and husband Sean, Chloe Warf, Alex Warf, Gabby Beadles and husband Basil, Tyler Smith and wife Megan, Carmen Murphy and husband Jacob all of Mattoon, IL; three great-grandchildren, Oliver Huffman, Lilly Huffman, Karina Beadles and baby Raelynn Murphy is on the way. She was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Cobb. Linda was a co-owner of Wooden Nickel-Hidden Talents in Mattoon, IL, a business she dearly loved along with the customers she served. Formerly she was manager of the furniture department at Big Lots, manager of Super 8 Motel that was previously owned by Mr. McHugh, and co-owner of Miles and Memory all of Mattoon, IL. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society Inc. Linda had a variety of interest from socializing with friends and family, attending car shows with her dad, thrift store hunting, Red Hatting, dining out, coffee drinking, chocolate eating, book reading, and fur baby snuggling. She had a fondness of Yorkies and her current Yorkie; Penny was the Mascot of Wooden Nickel-Hidden Talents. Our mother, grandmother, confidant, and friend our hearts are broken but we anticipate the day we see you again. Always on our hearts forever in our memories. Memorials in her honor may be made to Lincoln Land Hospice of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, 1004 Health Center Drive, Mattoon, IL 61938.
