Phyllis M. Bjorklund Mattoon, IL – Phyllis M. Bjorklund, age 83, of Mattoon, IL, formerly of Minnesota, passed away at 5:00 p.m., on Sunday July 4, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Karlata and husband Jerry Sparling.
The funeral service in her honor will be held at a later date in Jackson, Minnesota; Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Interment will be in Lakefield Memorial Cemetery, Lakefield, MN.
Mrs. Bjorklund was born in Gilmore City, Iowa, on July 7, 1926, the daughter of Augustus and Arlie (Judd) Joslin. She married Carl Allen Bjorklund in Iowa, on April 5, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by nine children
Phyllis was of the Pentecostal faith. She was beautiful seamstress, she enjoyed baking for her family and also enjoyed flower gardening.
