Eula Pearl Childers-McConnaha Mattoon, IL – Eula Pearl Childers-McConnaha, age 69, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral service in her honor will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938, with Pastor Michael Snow officiating. Interment will be in French Cemetery, Allenville, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 4, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Mrs. McConnaha was born April 25, 1940, in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of William Robert and Margie (Baker) Childers. Her mother survives. She is also survived by her son, Michael Todd McConnaha of Mattoon, IL; four brothers, Robert Childers and wife Barb of Gays,IL, Alan Childers and wife Clorris of London, OH, Rick Childers of Allenville, IL, and Jeff Baker and wife Debra of Mt. Morris, MI; two sisters, Linda Burns and husband Gilbert of Mt. Morris, MI, and Cherie Craig of Windsor, IL; grandchildren, Jeremy McConnaha of Mattoon, IL, Jessie Macklin and Megan Hubner; and three great grandchildren, Jayden McConnaha, Jackson McConnaha and Traiden Hubner. She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. McConnaha worked for General Electric Company for thirty three years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed having lunch with her friends from General Electric and listening to the music of Brad Brown at the Our Daily Bread Café.
