Mattoon, IL – Frank E. Galletano, age 58, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 7:25 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Veteran’s Home in Danville, IL.
A graveside service in his honor will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon, IL, with Pastor Tom Pullen officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Mattoon VFW Post 4325. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, located at 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Galletano was born June 1, 1951, in Montgomery, AL, the son of Natividad and Mary (Cobb) Galletano. His mother survives in Mattoon, IL. Other survivors include two children, Frank and Jamie Black, both of Decatur, IL; a brother, Dale Galletano of Mattoon, IL; and two grandchildren, Victoria Morgan White of Blufton, SC and Delaney Kwasny-Black of Decatur, IL.
Mr. Galletano served our country with the United States Marines from 1969 to 1973. He later made his living as a truck driver. He was a life member of the Mattoon VFW Post 4325, and a member of the Mattoon American Legion. In his free time, the only thing he enjoyed more than riding his motorcycle was spending time with family and friends. He loved the holidays and family gatherings.

Funeral Information
