Lucy Bell Millage-Schrader Lucy Bell Millage-Schrader, age 90, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Tuscola, IL.
The funeral service in her honor will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938. Pastor Ed Stephens will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lucy was born on August 6, 1922 in Durbin, West Virginia, the daughter of Howard and Jennie (Mullenex) Phillips. She married Kenneth Millage on February 25, 1939 in Terra Haute, IN. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1981. She later married Raymond Schrader on December 6, 1994 in Grand Bay, AL. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2000.
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Childress of Poteet, TX; Bob Millage and his wife, Hazel, of Charleston, IL; Sharon Wilson, and her husband, Bob, of Tuscola, IL; Anita Jones, and her husband, Jerry, of Grand Bay, AL; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Millage, of Charleston, IL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Lucy was preceded in death by one son, Roger Millage, one daughter, Pamela Huckstep, four brothers and nine sisters.
Mrs. Schrader worked as a waitress for Opal Wrights restaurant for many years. She also worked as a clerk at the Charleston IGA until she retired in 1977. She attended New Mercy Worship Center in Mattoon, IL. In her past time, Lucy loved tending to her flower garden. She enjoyed visiting her friends in the nursing home, and she always cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
